Pedaling Along Summer's Road

Summer is moving along,
 like riding a bike;
I keep pedaling and enjoying all that it has to offer.
We are making lots of memories.

Soon we will head North,
and gather as one big family.
The Walsh clan continues to grow with new babies
 and one  the way..
well, one for now.

It is fun to watch as we celebrate the first year of some
and  the welcoming of new wee ones.
My girls are busy with some of the changes ahead
and although we can't always gather as often as we would like,
  we take advantage of opportunity.

The garden is coming along nicely
and I enjoy getting out to harvest.
There is nothing like hands in the soil and hands to pick Mother Earth's bounty.

Enjoying a walk among all of the gardens~
flowers or food makes no difference,
it is the walk that brings me to the magic.

Above is last Summer's try with new pumpkin and snowfolk.
(and how I set the eyes in place)
It got a bit busy, but not forgotten.
We all have a basket or box with
UFOs
(UnFinished Offerings)

 As you can tell,
I have had fun playing around with the basic pattern.
I LOVE that they each carry their own spirit.
the two orange ones are the same pattern.
they are my
"Pumplins"

One of my favorite things about Summer,
is the opportunity to give back.
To use my gift to raise money for the Komen Foundation.
I can honor my Vermont roots and family...
and to encourage others.
One may not be able to run the race...
but volunteering time or pieces such as Pip
are always so important.
what ever is special to you and your heart...give of yourself,
every little bit helps.

Such a lovely post! My family will all be gathering in August. I cherish those times.
Your pumpkins are wonderful, as usual and just what can I say about your mouse!! Working on a project to submit to Art Doll Quarterly in August. She is sewn together and ready to stuff, so excited.

I always look forward to your posts. Your talent never, ever ceases to amaze me. As always, it is in a class by itself. You are equally blessed to have a large and growing family. May the rest of your Summer be a joy.

Hello, I'm glad to see you have a new post. I haven't started Rachael yet, that I ordered from Raven's Haven, but am anxious to get going. Hope I can finish in time for fall. Have a wonderful time with your family and thank you for giving your time to Komen. I do the Avon Walk out of San Franciso and have done it for the last 12 years, since my daughter was diagnosed. Someday, hopefully, all that we do will not be for naught..Happy Weekend..Judy

Your pumpkins and snowfolk are adorable!
I've been pedaling along too and just enjoying the moment!
It's always a nice feeling when you can give now and then.
Have fun with your family!
Blessings
Robin
